I just encountered my first two enemies (hybrids, wielding pipes or something), and took them down without a problem - however, I can't imagine they're a good indication of what's to come. If it's going to become overwhelming in the game later on, I'd rather not make too much progress now, but I also don't want the game to be too easy. ![]() ![]() I don't want to get too deep into this game before figuring out that Impossible difficulty is way too difficult, however, so can anyone familiar with the difficulties let me know what they think? I'm also curious what aspects of the game are modified between the different difficulty levels - do I just take more damage, and inflict less on enemies? Or does the difficulty factor relate to different objectives in the game as well (as in Thief 1 & 2, you're required to grab more loot per mission than on lower difficulty levels, which was fun). Originally intended to be a standalone title, its story was changed during production into a sequel to the 1994 game System Shock. I like playing games that are challenging, and so I selected the "Impossible" difficulty option at the very beginning I recently completed Thief 1 & 2 on "Expert" difficulty the first time around, and really enjoyed the experience - they were challenging, but not insanely so. System Shock 2 is a 1999 action role-playing survival horror video game designed by Ken Levine and co-developed by Irrational Games and Looking Glass Studios. I just started playing, and I'm loving the game so far. ![]()
